Rochelle A. is the reason this site exists, and she is the person who checks that what we publish matches how the work actually goes on a wall.

Rochelle has spent her whole working life in interior decorating, on residential and commercial projects, including private homes for well-known clients. She works by referral and does not advertise, which is why you will not find her last name here. She asked us to keep it that way.
She has hung, specified and repaired more or less every wallcovering this site has a calculator for. When we say a paper is a nuisance on an out-of-plumb wall, or that a dye lot will show at a seam, that is her talking.
What she actually does here
Rochelle does not write the guides. The Roll & Bloom team writes them, and Rochelle reads them for accuracy before they carry her name, marks what is wrong or misleading, and tells us what we have left out. Where she and a published source disagree, we say so on the page rather than quietly picking one.
She also reviews the calculators themselves, which is a different job. A formula can be arithmetically correct and still give an answer no installer would act on. Our methodology page exists so that anyone, Rochelle included, can check the working rather than take our word for it.
How we credit her
Any guide showing "Reviewed by Rochelle A." has been read by her in the version you are looking at. If a guide has been substantially rewritten since her last pass, the review credit comes off until she has read it again. We would rather show you an unreviewed page honestly than a review credit that has quietly gone stale.
Why this matters to us
Most wallcovering advice online is written by people who have never hung a strip. It reads fine and it is often wrong in the specific ways that cost you a wasted order or a bad weekend. Having somebody who has done the work read every page before it goes up is the only way we know to keep that from happening here.
